I can tell I'm getting depressed. After a full nights rest I sleep more. I just lay here with my eyes closed listening to the tv and drift off for 20 minutes at a time. Yesterday I woke up and took extra PRN because I didn't want to be awake. That made me sleep for another 3 hours of hard sleep. My bf was worried and I remember him saying "what did you take??" I just rolled over and slept more. Last night I came In my room and again laid here with my eyes closed until it was time to take my night meds. Im hoping I can get through this without any intervention. Hoping it will fix itself. APs for depression never work for me either. I'm on geodon 40mg in AM, 60 at dinner. And 450mg seroquel at night and 15mg restoril PRN (I've been abusing this one). I don't know what to do.

At my last T appointment she had to do a annual update on my file. She asked me numerous questions about how I'm feeling, what's going on in my life etc. she stopped short and said "you already scored very high which means you should be hospitalized". I quickly changed the subject.

Thanks guys. It's the season. Last year at this time I got so bad that I didn't clean my house for months. My family had to intervene and clean it all for me because I couldn't get out of bed. I wasn't on meds at that time though.

Depression isn't something to cooperate with, just puts the inevitable crash and rebuild off. Do you have the experience of being depressed, aware of it in a background sort of way, then being confronted with how awful it feels, then feel even worse with the awareness? I wonder if your attempts to keep it off or avoid the experience is kind of like my experience with depression cycles. It's hard to be the person in pain while others are just getting on with their life.
