I was just thinking....

I was diagnosed BP1 somewhere around age 33. They hemmed and hawed at the 1 part for a while but finally conceded.

Before that, I did have some psychosis. At 20 I had my wisdom teeth out. During recovery, I saw little aliens knocking on the balcony sliding glass door. Later that week, I had some paranoia that "the dark" was "coming to get me". The windows were black from it being dark outside you see. I even called my mom who told me that the dark couldn't get me, but I insisted.

Before that, as a teenager, several times I thought I heard my sister calling my name from her room in a whisper. I'd get up and go see what she wanted but she was always asleep.

The wisdom teeth adventure may have been narcotic-caused, I don't know.

It's possible I've had mild psychosis since childhood....I had some things happen but can't talk about them here...they are in a maybe category for now. Before that I think I lost touch with reality at 15, am sure I lost it at 24 (drug induced but lasted a year after stopping the drug) and twice since my bipolar DX ...age 38 and 41. There are several maybes and some I'll never know for sure.
