Hi everybody

I'm just wondering is there a link between BP and headaches as I've been them for the last few days. Maybe it could be med related? Also I'm a tad bit hypo lately with a small bit of irritation thrown in Current meds per day are:

300 limictle
2mg rivotril
225mg lyrica
.5 mg xanax

Any input would be appreciated.

Kind regards BP and headaches

I don't know if there's a link, but I can tell you that your meds block your body's ability to utilize magnesium that keeps the muscles relaxed so that might contribute to a headache.

I have tension, sinus and migraine headaches frequently. I looked it up years ago and there is a link between BP and migraine. Why they are linked in uncertain. Doctors still don't know for sure what causes BP or migraines unfortunately.

I've had headaches long before starting the meds. Meds might make them worse but some are suppose to help.
Thanks for this!

I don't know about which meds could cause them, but Topomax and Depakote can stop them. I've had both when I had migraines and they worked.

I don't know if there's a link or if it's a side effect of certain medications, all I know is that I started getting migraines after starting my medications (Seroquel, abilify, klonopin, Lamictal and propranolol), I get them about 5 times a year. I only started getting them after starting Abilify (the last med that was started) and headache is listed as a side effect of that.

I had severe migraines many years before I was on meds. I have often wondered if headaches are sometimes connected to mood disorders. Might be a neurological thing.
Thanks for this!

I hate migraines.

fortunately, I don't get them often- but when I do it's horrible

what I tend to do is take a soft cushion or pillow and put my head on it.

it helps

Hi everyone thanks for all the replies and sorry for not coming back to you sooner. When I think about it its probably that I've give up smoking weed about 10 days ago (I already had to cut back to a very small amount) but one of the side of quitting is headaches and I haven't had a headache in the pass couple of days so hopefully that was the cause. Again all replies are greatly appreciated ☺☺
