I finally went and reapplied today. Took an hour and a half but the questions weren't hard. Worst part is it will take a month to turn back on and we already barely have any food or money.

Did you let them know you barely have food? When I got food stamps I had nothing and got approved quickly through some trick of theirs. I think I had my EBT card within days of applying.

I think they will see what's in my bank account and figure it out. At least I'm hoping so!

I've never been in this situation myself but I'm wondering if perhaps there are charities or shelters in your area which can help out with food? I'm so sorry you are dealing with this....no person should be forced to go hungry (((hugs)))

Friends have been feeding us. My daughter is getting pizza with her boyfriend later. So it's not total starvation but then again I have lost some weight.

I hope everything works out for you! I just applied the otherday becasue I went to the community clinic in my city and they helped me apply for the right inssurance and food stamps since I am working and going to school but still not making enough.
I hope you get them soon! |

Thanks everyone. I am at my mom's handing out candy while my youngest trick or treats with friends. We all had dinner. That felt so good.
