...when you're hypo/manic?

Surprisingly, I do! I definitely take my meds if I have an agitated/paranoid/hallucinatory mania... but even my happy hypo/manias I still take my meds.

I'm actually less likely to take my meds when depressed because I have the attitude: "well, they don't work now, so what's the point?"

I didn't use to but have for the past few years "for the most part". Sometimes I stop while stable and don't recognize the mania until it's too late. I'm taking my medicines as prescribed at current. I'm being a "good girl" but must admit I'm currently elevated and I get tempted strongly at times to try and push it by stopping the AP and starting the Wellbutrin and not forcing myself to stay in bed.

I only stop taking them if I set up my med box incorrectly.

im not great when it comes to the night time dose of the 2x daily ones (trileptal, wellbutrin sr). The AM meds...trileptal (part 1), abilify (the main one I think), lamictal, and wellbutrin (part 1) I almost always take.

I'm not good about knowing when/if to take one or both as-needed drugs (low dose neurontin, low dose risperidone).

The old meds I was on, I stopped taking when I got hypo because they gave me side effects I didn't like (and didn't help my depression anyway) so I said, **** it, I don't need em! I just started new meds though, currently very depressed, so we'll see what happens next time I'm hypo.

I fall into the category of "always." I'm nothing if not med-compliant.

I haven't always been good about taking my meds but for the entirety of 2016 I've been faithfully compliant.

Some days I forget to take them. I do have a medicine box. So it's stupid when I do.

I'm religious about it. Part of that admittedly, is the withdraw if I skip lamictal. It's the most awful sensation, and it doesn't take long after a missed does to start
Thanks for this!

I've only mistaken my meds maybe 2-3 times since 2014 when I had my psychotic break, and that's if I don't realize I've run out and then the pharmacy is already closed or something like that. They are my lifeline.

Every day. I have a 7 day pill box I fill up every Sunday. Everything goes in there... thyroid, psych meds, vitamins, blood pressure, or anything else I happen to be taking.

I've gotten wiser about taking meds as prescribed as I've gotten older. Years ago I would go off in the hope of chasing the mania and like you stop taking them when depressed cause yeah...they weren't working. I also would stop taking them when stable cause clearly I didn't need them. Yeah I used to be quite bad about taking meds.

Half and half to be honest. Sometimes I do take them and sometimes I skip the odd day(s) and sometimes I stop altogether. Depends on how I am actually feeling

I just take my meds no matter what. My doc just upped my dose to 1800 a day. It seems to be working.

Very med compliant. Have occasionally forgotten to take them, but never intentionally messed with them.

I just came out of a depression from last semester, late summer I started feeling good for the first time in well over 6 months, so I jumped off my Haldol because I didn't want to stop feeling good. about a week later its 3:30 am and I'm slashing my sisters tires.

needless to say I'm back on my Haldol now, settled my *** right down in about a week or so.
