So my mood had been stable for about 2 months. No mania, no depression. But now I'm feeling dysthymia. Just light depression. I am on 300 mg lamictal, 1 mg klonipin 2x day and geodon 40 mg 3x day. I thought everything was going good but I have this nagging dysthymia. I haven't lost interest in things. I am reading the autobiography of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who wrote Sherlock Holmes and am enjoying it. I've also found a new taste in music, jazz and light jazz. Things feel like they're going well, until for example, a week ago, I was told I was 40 lbs overweight, and I only weigh in at 138 lbs. I know I'm not overweight but it made me depressed. I feel like maybe it was the comment that triggered it. I have triggers just like all of us. I also haven't had a job in a month and have had to rely on family. I am looking for a job in dats entry and haven't got it yet. I don't know if that's contributing too. I just feel a little detached from life and the last couple days I just want to sit on the couch and do nothing. I hope this passes because the last couple months have been somewhat great. Well I meet with my pdoc tomorrow. I'll have to see what he says. Anyone else have dysthymia?

"The last few days I've wanted to sit on the couch and do nothing". Sounds like you've lost interest to me. Sure you're not full blown depressed?

When I have dysthymia I start rewatching TV shows and doing things rigidly it is boring as hell! It is like purgatory!

I've had dysthymia before. It's depression but still being able to function. I was still able to do my job and other responsibilities, but I felt dead inside.

I don't think it's full blown depression because I like to sit on my couch and do nothing sometimes even when I'm not depressed. I'm a little lazy. The lamictal and geodon definately help me though. I'm going to ask my pdoc who I see in an hour if he can raise my lamictal to 400.

You know yourself better than anyone. Good luck with the laziness as well as the med change.
