When I'm psychotic I mainly get delusions. Only in very extreme manic circumstances do I have "true" hallucinations. On the other hand I dip into delusional territory every few weeks at the most it seems. Do you experience more hallucinations or delusions, or both equally?

Both . I think people are after me. I also see people and animals that others can't or that disappear.

Some of my delusions are 24/7 for years on end, though the extent to which they bother me varies. Some delusions are short lived. Regular hallucinations are mostly at night or in the dark, but if I'm feeling really paranoid, or anxious I will hallucinate in daylight in public and in stores, while driving etc.

I would have to say delusions are more prominent than hallucinations for me just due to the amount of time they are present vs hallucinations. Though most of my daytime in public hallucinations are connected to and in support of delusions.
Thanks for this!

I don't think I get delusions. I mean, sometimes when manic I think my Dx is wrong and that my mental health providers are trying to steal my money by making me waste money on their "toxic placebos". Idk if that really counts tho... because I get that one a lot

So it's entirely hallucinations for me. Mild ones at that.

delusions all the way. the only time I had hallucinations I was up for 5 days straight, and I think most people would start hearing **** after that.

I get delusional very rarely. I'd hesitate to even call my hallucinations such as they are just shadows from the corner of my eye, not full on hallucinations. I used to have the shadow thing near constantly when I was a teenager. None of my pdocs ever seemed concerned, but I would only get the shadows when unwell so I knew it was a symptom, whether the pdoc wanted to believe it or not. Thankfully I haven't had any of that since being on invega.

For me it's delusions.

Only delusions. I don't think I hallucinate....I see fast shadow figures out of the corner of my eyes but I think they are ocular migraines. I'm told I have delusions but think I'm psychic and my wire's get crossed.

Delusions are more common for me. I only get them when manic or especially during mixed mania. I don't typically get visual hallucinations. I get auditory ones at night, especially during times where I'm manic/experiencing mixed mania. I don't typically hear them during the day, though I hear "static" in my head during the day.

My delusions usually are during mixed mania when I get paranoid thinking that spirals out of control and are usually has a persecutory theme or sometimes somatic. Occasionally, I get grandiose delusions during mania, and it's very common for me to have at least have grandiose ideas.

I get delusions of grandeur as well as persecuting types too. It's very difficult and I'm sorry you are having them.
