I'm really scared. This presidential election outcome isn't good for health care, or for people with disabilities, etc. Having a hard time catching my breathe, and can't stop crying. Anyone feel the same?

Sorry to hear that. I am in Australia and the waves of your election have hit here too. My first thought was on healthcare in the USA. How will it effect you?

The republicans want to repeal the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare), effectively eliminating insurance coverage for over a million people who didn't have it before.

I can only thinks of swear words in response.

Could congress block his intentions? Does Trump have any plans to replace Obamacare to help those in need of financial support with their health? This is devastating news.

In Australia one of our major parties always seems to want to make healthcare less funded, thus longer waiting lines in public system which is almost free. Luckily we have a decent private health insurance. For example I pay $160 a month and all my IP stays for mental health are fully covered except for a few meds. Other types of private treatment can have big out of pockets, like cancer treatment and some surgeries but generally it works.

Wish your government would at least catch on that it is less expensive to treat people with mental illness than to leave them untreated and then society suffers the consequences of that. more than that I wish your government would actually care about those suffering and their families and friends.

how will this effect you?

So many people that are "different" feel hated by Trump.

This is fun for us who are on a depression slide.

Even if they could, they won't. Republicans got the house, the senate and white house. We. Are. Fckd. There's no other way of putting it.

As for Trump's plans. So far as I know, he has none. Zero. Nothing. He spent his entire campaign mouthing off against Clinton and Obama, arrogantly asserting that he's gonna build a wall along the southern border and feeding the irrational fears of his unintelligent, racist, misogynistic, xenophobic subhuman lemmings. I can't recall a single time he ever put forth an actual plan to "make America great again" whatever the hell he means by that. (Okay, I know what he means, but I... thinking about it angers me.)

Obama's health insurance was not affordable. I tried to get it and couldn't afford it. It was a lie when they said they would offer insurance with no penalty for previous illness or mental illness. Many companies turned me down because I had MI. It was also confusing and impossible to navigate the website.

This is one of my big concerns too. We need to ban together and perhaps even move into together in a group home if things go the way I expect. Safety in numbers and I will help as much as possible.
