I do...usually. Often, there is a BIG pause, a little dance then a long, quiet expletive. If the injury is a very painful one then I immediately swear as I twist and turn.

How about you?

Not as often as in days past, but it takes a *lot* of effort to stop or control the outburst.

I have the mouth of a sailor of shore leave mixed with a bit of rockstar. I tend to curse almost constantly.

Oh yes, pretty loud if I'm alone, but I can control myself if I"m around polite company like small children or my boss.

I'm not religious, or a prude, but I think swearing sounds ugly. I used to swear a lot but try my best not to. When I stub my toes, it's probably a 50/50 proposition, though.

I usually tell God to damn whatever stubbed the toes.

I used to always do the same and sometimes still do, and I am actually glad He pays no attention to my command! If I did not need or want that furniture or whatever, I would have already gotten rid of it myself.
Thanks for this!

It depends on where I am. At work, if I can control it well enough, I say "Dad-gummit!" Which is what my dad used to say, but otherwise it's pretty hard "G-ddamit!!!"

I suck in my breath really hard and sometimes an expletive comes out. I have very sensitive toes so it's definitely not pleasant.

Last time I did that, I broke my big toe at the base. And yes, I used some pretty colorful language when I did it. That damn thing took almost a year to heal properly.
