Last night I started having a bit of a panic attack while at a restaurant, and almost immediately my paranoid thoughts came back. Everyone's talking about me, laughing about me. Which makes me panic even more because the whole world is caving in on me. I managed to leave the restaurant but I haven't really calmed down yet.
Can anxiety cause paranoia like this?

I think they can co-exist for sure.
Can you be anxious without being paranoid? Yes. Can you be paranoid without being anxious? I doubt it. |

Yes, anxiety can but you are left with the chicken egg thing. Which came first? Did anxiety cause the paranoia or did the paranoia cause the anxiety? (((Hugs)))
