First I found out that when I spent July, August and September repeatedly calling my caseworker about my renewal paperwork that I knew was due (and eventually was told wasn't due until November) that it WAS due when I thought it was and they dropped the ball somehow and now I have to completely re-apply. Which is especially bad since last year they screwed up and I had to totally apply again then too.

Then I resumed my battle with the hospital for Medicaid payment of my spenddown amount from February. Despite my calling monthly for nearly 6 months Medicaid has never paid. This time I was told that it had paid in full in September which was easy to disprove since there never was a payment made. So I called the ombudsman's office and while they refuse to apologize or accept responsibility apparently they did submit the Medicaid paperwork but never followed up and every time I called I was given misinformation. They did not pay in September or any other month.

And now I'm supposed to deal with my crappy caseworker who can't even get me renewal papers when I'm asking repeatedly for them to get this worked out.

I really just want to give up and not deal with Medicaid and just keep making my punishingly high monthly payments and in about 10 months it will all be over. But that's not financially wise and I am owed this benefit.

So instead I'm just extremely stressed and hate having this hanging over my head. Especially dealing with my caseworker since she doesn't take calls or provide assistance.

And I am also going to report this application nightmare to the state because it never should have happened.

I just want to go back to bed and sleep until Friday.

The online thing did me no good when I was trying to get them to send renewal papers a few months ago. It looks like it should but it wasn't helpful. I'll be on there re-applying now though so maybe I'll find something I didn't know about before.

I'm sorry. It sucks so much to have to do it all again. This is the 2nd time this county screwed up so badly I had to start over. My previous county was so easy to deal with.

You're right. And I wonder how often it does happen. I'm going to complain to the state this time.
