My wife was treated by Serquel. Lately it was noticed she has some side effects , and the doctor changed her to Latuda and removed her anti-depressent gradually over a week. This caused her terrible outcome with breakdown of anxiety and suicidal thoughts. She has been admitted since a week to hospital as Latuda seems not to work. The doctor reversed her back to Serquel while no anti-depressent and he is trying Abilify and his plan if Abilify works he will remove Serequel. It is the second day of this Abilify trial and today she slided in a deep depression mode.
I told the nurse all these observations in addition that we have a gap of confidenece in the medication and the treatment plans as he is removing the cipralex anti-depressent as well. Not sure what we are facing but it is very uncertain and it doesn't feel good at all as we have been two weeks in hospital.
Does any one know what to be done or how to discuss with the doctor.

Give abilify a chance it has anti depressant qualities. You should see improvement in about 4 days. The reason they took her of the antidepressant is abilify can make you manic. She'll probably be put back on her anti depressant after seeing if abilify helps.

You're such a good husband to seek help for her. Wow, my bf would never do that lol. But yes give the meds a chance. Seroquel is for depression but it takes a higher dose and time. She's in the hospital?? That's good. She's in the right place. Just be there for her and give the meds time. I'm sure quitting the antidepressant has a lot to do with this episode.
