I am absolutly excasted. I can't sleep (3 days now) but I don't feel high like I am manic. Just very very tired. Can you be manic without the hype?

Yes it is totally possible to be manic without being hyper. I know by experience. If you haven't slept in three days, it's time to see a doc - don't be afraid to go and don't be afraid of medication. Just work with your doc to get meds that will normalize you without too many side effects.
Mania can take its toll in many ways, so it's best to see a doc. Good luck twirls!

I am seeing my PDoc on Tues. After collapsing from exaustion and breaking my arm, I think I need to see her. I have not been taking my meds. I know I should but I just don't. Its like I am stubborn or something. I take my night meds and thats it.

I'm sorry you had an episode and crashed. It's hard to take meds for many reasons. But I have found that the ones I am on are beginning to work for me. My mania is one of agitation, not elation. I also will work myself into the ground, so to speak. Try to take your meds, it's really worth it.

I feel like I can somewhat relate. I have schizoaffective disorder bipolar type, and have gone thru recently what I thought was mania but people have told me that I wasn't manic because I was sleeping fine.
