Well, I had a double expresso milk drink. I guess that counts as food.

What is your favourite non alcoholic drink?

I go to bed about 9 but usually am awake until 12-1. I have a long process to unwind.

Do you act happy most of the time in therapy?

Sometimes but I've been seeing this guy for six years and he doesn't buy it so I act how I am. Works better that way and is a big relief.

10 months for individual therapists. I've been going to a group therapy for about 3 years fairly regularly.

What type of therapy have you found most helpful?

CBT, I guess.

my friend bethany suggested it to me, and I do think it works

(I just forget to use what i've learned, which defeats the object)

if you suspected bipolar before your diagnoses, how long before your diagnoses did you suspect it?

About 6 months. Before that I was convince it was the PTSD, BPD and Depression causing my symptoms. Now I am only diagnosed BP1.

What were your first symptoms that indicated you were BP?

Insomnia. I never slept normally, even as an infant (so much I was prescribed phenobarbital at a few months old but my mom was scared of her comatose baby and only used it once--thank God, I didn't need more issues). It just kept getting worse.

What symptom frightens you the most?

I don't know actually.

what scares me the most are flashbacks, but that's not related to the BP

if you're asking which bipolar psymptom scares me the most.. I don't know.

how much (on a scale from 1 to 10), would you say you accept your diagnoses

10. I was pretty sure when I was diagnosed and I was diagnosed by someone with a ton of expertise in the field so I knew I could trust his opinion. I never doubt it. (Helps I never get euphoric manias).

Do you need help to manage adult life (bills, housework, etc)?

Yes, I like the summer. Shorts and t-shirts, that's me! Beaches and water parks with the kids.

Did you guess you were bipolar or what the diagnosis out of the blue to you?

Yes and no. Through the VA, not so much. But my insurance provided by my insurance allowed me to choose a provider that is not only near me, but I like her.

What are you doing this weekend?
