I posted something similar about this recently, but this is a slightly different angle.
I've been having fleeting hallucinations where I see people or cats or random things. I'll walk into the room, see a person, glance away, glance back, gone. Because of how transitory these have been, my pdoc is reluctant to see them as visual hallucinations, and instead suggested illusions (or somewhere in between). Anyone get visual hallucinations that are quick like this? Or do they always last for a while?

Yeah, I've gotten them before
When I was flying back to the US from Portugal, there was some guy waiting by the bathrooms because he had to go, but all stalls were full. He looked like he was about my age (in his 20s), and had an average build. Well, when I looked over at him, he had a HUGE hole in his jeans right on his buttcheek. You could see his right buttcheek, I sh#t you not. But then when I looked back, it was gone. (I almost said something to the guy because it seemed like he didn't notice. lol) But in general, mine are usually scary, not funny ![]() |

happens to me, but its mostly auditory, which is probably far less frightening.
I think there comes a point at which drugs can only do so much, and then its sort of just residual stuff you're left with. Not the best situation, but it is what it is. I hope things simmer down in your world. |

Yes. I just saw a cat in my kitchen today but it disappeared when I tried to turn around again to get a better look.

It happened to me a lot in my twenties. Not so much now in my 50's, but occasionally still.

I don't know that I hallucinate but I guess I do, or so I'm told I do. People say things and then claim they didn't say them....I heard my brother and his wife's voices coming from the phones in the Hospital and was sure they were behind having me locked up. I don't think they could have been on those phones. So if I hear things is that hallucinating?
I see shadow figures RUN FAST in my side vision. It happens when I miss a lot of sleep and my startle reflex is usually VERY high when it happens. The first few times I thought it was actually someone running past in my house but then I just got used to it and knew it was my imagination and nothing to worry about. It would still startle me for a second though at first. |

My blog is full of hallucinations. One about people showing up right in front of me quickly then disappearing- I felt I'd walk right into them
