Anyone ever assess themselves on the Young Mania Rating Scale? https://psychology-tools.com/young-mania-rating-scale/

I just scored it for my worst ever mania and got a score of 44 out of 60 (a score above 21 means mania, and the higher the number the worse the mania).

Of course, this is just me assessing myself. I'm no doctor. So take that number with a grain of salt. I just found the assessment interesting and was wondering if anyone else has rated themselves.

I haven't been manic in a long time but I used to use that scale to try to determine if I was merely hypomanic or had slid into mania.

I did it for my current mood and got a score of 25, which sounds about right.

I think what elevaated my score is my extreme agitation right now. I'm very hostile and unpleasant (if I'm being honest). I'm also getting only 3-4 hrs of sleep a night, which I'm sure is only feeding my hostility/aggression.

My worst ever mania is apparently 38. I was visibly shaking from excitement (according to my therapist). That's when I took Adderall for the first time (well, i took Adderall two days in a row)... But then it all went downhill quickly when I got dysphoric and started hallucinating after staying up for almost 4 days straight. I think the 2nd Adderall capsule is what did me in.

My score was 38 for my current mixed episode. Mainly the anger and hallucinations. I also keep fluctuating between denying my illness and thinking I need help urgently.

Hmm maybe I am bipolar. I usually have mixed episodes so it's hard to tell sometimes.

I got 43 and I'm not surprised. Have been mixed for about a year. But I don't have "episodes". I'm either manic, mixed or depressed always. There's no inbetween. Just controlled levels. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the score comes from hallucinations and lack of sleep. Oh - and this is WELL CONTROLLED mixed for me... off meds I'd be a ****ing wreck.

42 - based on last six weeks, not today when I am finally stable

On the Altman Self Rating Scale (an add shown on the first one...) I rated 18-20.

Starting to think I was manic back there...

My usual manic episodes were at 51 which kinda puts a spotlight on the severity of the illness and how I have underestimated it.

Scored 15 on te Altman Scale, which goes from zero to twenty, mania starts at 6. I just see myself as a little hyper and noone has talked to me about being manic.

I scored all of 9 for my current mood on the YMRS. I'm mildly depressed so it makes sense that my score would be so low. During my worst manias, I score around 50.

I scored a 2. Fair enough, I consider myself stable at present.
