My regular Dr chalked off my BP to an overactive adrenaline gland.
I think the exercise just gets things pumping so you feel better for awhile.
I used to be an exercise--holic.

Do you agree with your doctor about the adrenaline gland?

Exercise gets endorphins going. (Says the girl who doesn't exercise enough.)

Really??? Well, there's one thing I never considered. But who knows, I'd take an adrenaline rush over BP any day! Lol

I think hormones and glands like adrenaline gland are mysterious.
Probably bipolar amps things up or shuts them down.

One thing is for sure OS that if I lived in a nice warm place like Costa Rica nobody
would have to ask me twice to go swimming in the ocean.
Even when I am very depressed and don't want to move a muscle I seem to be able
to get myself into the water for some reason. I just find it very healing to the body
and the soul.

Me too. That's one reason I love it here so much.
I'm thinking about investing in a car w 4x4 again. Otherwise I can only swim 2 x week when caretaker is here.
It's only a 20 min walk down to the beach. But a 40-50 min climb back up.
Even though a 90 min swim is not really tiring, I don't like to walk home afterwards anymore. I did for 18 years though.

I find exercise, including walking, very helpful for stress relief.

Congrats on the swimming!
