My neighbor's granddaughter has MD... her daughter passed away from it, leaving only her to care for her for the rest of her life. She has been urging me to get my daughter on SSD and get disability to pay me to care for her, but won't give up the "how" part... does anyone know? I'm 100% certain my daughter qualifies for disability... and we've gotten SSI in the past, but for a different reason, so I'm not totally unfamiliar with the system. I know enough to help others lay the groundwork for how to get on SSD (I do it at work almost daily), but the caretaker part, I know nothing about.
