Death & illness happens. I'm sometimes troubled that we fetishize the deaths & illnesses of B-List celebs when there are real tragedies happening in the world. The headline from this Washington Post article reads: "A young couple died of overdose, police say. Their baby died of starvation days later." George Michael? Really?

He was so young. Sad news for sure.
There is war and death all over our planet.
Still we can mourn anyone we want.

2016 can just kiss it goodbye. I can't take many more of my childhood favorites dying.

Entertainers help us tell the stories of our lives. They give us hope so we can cope with 'real tragedies'. I believe you have missed the point entirely.
Thanks for this!

I think it is extremely unkind to shame someone for what they feel bad bout or grieve. Each person's pain is unique to them. To callously brush it of with a statement such as yours invalidates their pain. No matter what someone feels pain or grief about there is always something worse happening somewhere in the world. Extending your statement means that no one at any time has the right to feel bad about anything.

George Michael was one of my favorite singers of all time. Some of his songs were quite inspirational. A tribute to George Michael can be paid by getting his BSA jacket from Sky-Seller. Visit Sky-Seller
