Did you guys hear about Carrie Fisher? She suffered a massive heart attack on a plane from London to L.A.

Carrie Fisher heart attack latest news: Live updates as Star Wars actress 'suffers cardiac arrest on flight' - Mirror Online

For those who don't know, Carrie (Princess Leia) has BP and is a strong advocate for people like us. She is well known for being open about her illness and regularly does speeches to reduce MI stigma. Without people like her, we would be more stigmatized than we are now.

Yes I know about her too, there was a thread earlier for her. She is a real bipolar advocate. I hope she is okay.

It's sad, considering she's still fairly young. My family and I were literally sitting in a movie theater seeing the new Star Wars when I got a text from a friend about what happened.

She's only 60, but has had a hard life despite being Hollywood royalty. She just wrote her 8th book. Her books are very open and frank. Hope she continues to recover with no lasting affects.

I really hope she'll be okay.

I love her books, I've not read all of her latest yet, but her sense of humor is wonderful. And yes, I agree with what others have posted, I'm grateful for her, and her revealing her struggles with bipolar disorder.

I've read a few of her books and she seems like an honest and unique spirit. I hope that she heals and is well. I was watching an old Tom Hanks movie called The Man With One Red Shoe today with my husband and I read him the news about Carrie (he's a big Star Wars Fan) and she was in the movie we were watching about 2 minutes later. Such a coincidence....my husband and I were surprised. Sending lots of positive energy to her and her family right now.

In a Q&A with WebMD about her mental health, Fisher was asked what it's like to be the poster child for bipolar disorder.

"Well, I am hoping to get the centrefold in Psychology Today," she joked in reply.

Gosh, I will miss her sense of humour.

Edited to add: ...and her intelligence:

She made headlines ahead of the The Force Awakens when she took to social media to denounce anyone critical of her physical appearance.

"Youth and beauty are not accomplishments. They're temporary happy byproducts of time and/or DNA. Don't hold your breath for either," Fisher tweeted.

I just heard it too from a co-worker. 2016 needs to be over right this minute!!!

At least we still have Keith Richards... or do we? Could it be a situation like Weekend At Bernie's?

What a wonderful, strong, and inspirational woman she was. I will definitely miss her.

She was, without a doubt, a great actress and a great BP advocate. It's so sad that we lost her so soon. I was sincerely hoping she would pull through, too

RIP Carrie

My absolute favorite! I could depend on Carrie to make me laugh in the strange world of bipolar. Yes, 2016 is draining us unfairly.

You will be missed, Carrie Fisher!
