Hi,
I'm just here to get some advice. I was "officially" diagnosed in the past with OCD, anxiety and when I was a kid - Aspergers & ADD. I am late thirties now. I think there's more going on and I'm trying to get to the bottom of it. I should mention that is 2012 I had a very bad reaction to Zoloft, I was hypo manic with a mixed episode until I went off the meditation. So anyways I got addicted to valium and went through a shocking withdrawal (I've been off completely now for almost 3 months) . I've been getting mood swings some days consisting of horrifying depression to anxiety, to obsessional thinking. Some mornings I have trouble getting out of bed so I wait till after lunch to get up. The one constant thing about this - is I start feeling better after 4pm in the afternoon, it seems to be linked to circadian rhythm. By the evening I usually feel relatively "normal" and can function. My question is, does anyone share a similar symptom of feeling better after 4ish or mid afternoon from whatever troubled you and best on the evening? What is you diagnosis? Have you heard of this? Thanks heaps for any thoughts |

Hi dothemo....welcome to PC!
Advice I cant give...but I can say is that everyday after 4 pm for some reason I'm more alive to do house work or even exist. I don't know if this is because of being hung over, or an Other finally presents. I guess like you....I'm still searching myself. |

I am pretty much like this. Anyway I am on a very high energy level at the moment. In the afternoon I go sky high and can't sleep until early morning hours.

Well we can't diagnose you. However, you could be rapid cycling. BUT this could be a physical issue. Maybe you should see a doctor. do you have a pdoc? Are you on meds?

I feel the same way. After a certain point in the day, things suddenly just start flowing and usually it's not that I feel over the top high just pleasantly normal and healthy. Having not been able to work full time for a while, a lot of times if I go to sleep at 6 or 7 (am) and wake up at 3-4 PM, the whole day just flows perfectly more or less. When that's disrupted, all kinds of things go wrong. I can remember having awful feelings of dread in the morning and early afternoon in college and grad school. And something just feeling right after late afternoon / evening.
Bipolar is closely related to sleep sensitivity and circadian rhythms so it may be something worth looking into. I also have obsessive tendencies, score at the close to Asperger's level but not quite on most simplistic tests and possibly would have ADD if were tested as well. Additionally, migraines whose most extreme appearances have mostly been under control. Best to you! |
