My doc is contemplating putting up to 500 (300 am, 200 pm). I was wondering if anyone else is on 500+ per day?

Thank you!

My highest was 450mg/day. Might want to be careful taking it at night, as it is activating and might cause sleep disruption.

I think the usual maximum is 450mgs/day because high doses cause seizures more frequently than other anitdepressants.
Thanks for this!

I've never heard of such a high dose of bupropion, which doesn't mean a thing.
There are "new" approaches often.

My pcp had me on 450mg XL a day. This made my anxiety terrible. My pdoc took me off it completely when she figured out that I have BPII instead of Depression and anxiety. I would be cautious of taking that much Wellbutrin. Just my opinion.

Please contact your pdoc for directions for how to wean off Wellbutrin if they have not already provided them to you. Some people experience side affects when they come off meds without weaning off them more slowly.
