I'm taking 100 mg seroquel and its extremely sedating. I sleep for 11- 12 hours everyday. I am okay with the long hours for the most part but lately i've been wondering, worried that such long hours without waking up for peeing even once might cause some sort of urine toxicity. I have health anxiety so most of the times my fears are groundless, exaggerated. I needed your advice to know if this is one of those times.

Don't worry, you're not going to suffer kidney damage lol. But if you're bothered by the sedation, check with your pdoc about lowering your dose to 50 or even 25 mg.

Seroquel is not a fun drug. I feel paralysed on it before I sleep. In the words of George Constanza "there has to be a better way"

Seroquel is one of those drugs that gets less sedating the higher your dose:

When I first started on Seroquel it was really sedating. I was sleeping like 15 hours a day but as my dose got higher it got less sedating. I was actually instructed to take it at night because I have problems with insomnia but now it doesn't do all that much to sedate me anymore.
