So I just got out of my pdoc appointment. It seemed like he was multitasking. He asked if I needed more Zoloft, which I don't even take anymore. He asked some questions about my psychosis and a few other things. It was ... okay.

Because of my extreme sleepiness he took me off seroquel completely, which I didn't want. I just wanted him to lower the dosage. I'll tell him that next time or look up something else and suggest it

He said if my hand tremors aren't gone after stopping seroquel the. He will do some tests.

So now I'm on
-lithium 450mg 4 times daily
-Valium 10mg 4 times daily
-latuda 80mg once at night

Tremors from lithium is a well known symptom. Not so for Seroquel.

Well then I have no idea. I just really wish he didn't take me off seroquel. I figured the hand tremors were from the lithium. I just wonder why it's happening now. I've been on lithium for like 2-3 years now.

If your lithium levels are up that can increase things like hand tremors. When was your last level?

Wow. Lithium levels are usually done every 3-6 months, especially when on a high dose like yours. You may want to call and ask for one to be done in light of the tremors.

Inderal (propanolol) works wonders at stopping tremors.

It doesn't sound like he really listened to you. When my Lithium levels are too high I get bad tremors. Are you drinking plenty of water? Levels can change even while staying on the same dosage. I hope stopping Seroquel suddenly doesn't cause problems. Keep us posted on how you are going. When do you see him next?

Thankful everyone else. I asked him about blood tests and he said if going off seroquel doesn't stop the tremors then he'll do some tests. I'll mention inderal next time.

The only thing I drink is water, and occasionally tea. I'll keep everyone posted. I see him February 6th.

Your on a pretty hefty amount of Lithium 450 .... 4 times a day ????

Doses that high should be checked routinely via blood work.

" most pdocs taper off Seroquil but in the past I have gone out it with out a hiccup.

Out of your meds I agree that your tremor is lithium as previously mentioned by all of the above members.

I'm glad you are finally getting help even if there are lots of kinks to work out to find stability.
