Pre-Zyprexa I was depressed, isolated, sleeping way too much, not eating. I felt like my world was collapsing. I couldn't go to work a couple days out of the week. I thought I would have to get on my job's short term disability. But now I have my life back. Zyprexa has truly been a lifesaver. I take Zyprexa with Zoloft and the Zoloft is starting to kick in too. I have more energy. Weight gain hasn't really been an issue with Zyprexa so far as I take Adderall XR, but I don't mind being overweight if I feel functional. I feel as though a weight has been taken off my shoulders and I am able to keep my job now. If you feel like you're stuck in a rut, I would give Zyprexa a try. It sure has worked for me.

That's great! I'm glad it's helped you. It's been a great med for me in terms of how I feel physically and mentally. Unfortunately, my lipids are in the stratosphere and I've gained 60 pounds. Tonight I just started titrating down off it.

I've been on Zyprexa for three years now and love it. It truly is the glue that holds me together. The first time I was on it, about four and a half years ago, I gained 25 lbs. in the first six weeks; this time I gained maybe 15 in a year, and have since lost that and another 45 lbs. on top of it. Just make sure your doctor keeps an eye on your blood sugar and cholesterol levels---Zyprexa is notorious for sending those numbers into the stratosphere. I'm glad it's working for you.
