Life is full of opportunities. Some materialize, others turn tragic.
The icemaker caput today. Dishwasher only works in the extra long setting. Two hours of torture. The microwave spitted the fan cover last week, and it has a large crack in the handle. Garbage disposal recently replaced. No noise. Garage door opener, belt totally silent. Great. Today, ms piri, decided to shop for appliances. Forgot the glass top of the stove. Gone too but working. To make a long story longer, I saw my new phone coming in this mess. Being suffering almost two years with an Android thing and crying tears of blood to have an iPhone again. "What do you say if we change the appliances?". "I say I want an iPhone." "The appliances are necessary." She doesn't cook. I cook. I don't care about the damn appliances as long as they work. Now, the icemaker is a problem. I hated the fridge from the get go. Is one of the stupid ones, that you need to bend to get anything from the freezer and be a 1/2 hour moving the things on top. No water in the door. I drink water from the faucet. It's clean, tastes the same to a 50 years smoker, and has flouride to boot. "My iPhone is imperative for my mental health." In fact, a great part of my problems, is the damn phone". "I'm not paying for it." "I will pay for it eventually." "You have money for appliances, you have money for my phone". "You want the appliances, and me the phone. How's that for a trade." "Deal?" "well......." Meantime I driving straight to the At&T store. And fast. Did I get the phone?. Of course. Was it blackmail?. I call it diplomacy. Which goes a long way. Just like understanding. Folks, I'm staring at my new iPhone 7 Plus with real loving eyes. Afraid to touch it. It's not protected yet. Nor is insured, so that's another little detail we have to discuss in our way to the appliance store tomorrow. Congratulate me. I'm a monster.

Lol, p. I'm happy you got your phone. I need a new phone too. My phone is ancient, but for whatever reason I'm attached to it. I wish it was a flip phone. That would be bad ***. I'd never get rid of it.
