Is this the new norm: to only be on Facebook and not to call people to chat? I'm so sick and tired of being the only one out of my friends who makes the effort to chat and get together. I know they love me, but sometimes I wonder if they get tired of my complaining about my anxiety and bipolar. I tend to carry on pretty healthy conversations, though, so I don't think that is the only reason my friends don't call. I really think there is something wrong with society today. I think that people don't know how to REALLY CONNECT anymore, and it's frustrating for such an extrovert as myself.

Anyone else dealing with this?

I think it's part of the culture and not much to do with you personally. :-)
Thanks for this!

I would love to be able to talk on the phone with my friends! They don't answer their phones. They'd rather talk via text or Facebook. Or not talk at all... :-/

I have the exact same problem. I have actually gone so far as to deactivate my FB account, at least temporarily.

I have an fb account, but I hardly ever log in. Most of my conversations are via text. It's kind of abnormal for me to pick up the phone and call someone. I think all of our communication options have fundamentally changed the way we as a society relate to one another.
