Every day I wake up thinking ill be a new person. Not hoping or wishing, but generally thinking that I'll be someone else. Like my time as my current person is up and it's time to switch. I don't know, it's hard to explain.

Do mean a new person in a literal sense or figurative? Waking up after a refreshing sleep can feel like becoming a totally new person.

I don't know where are consciousness goes when we do sleep. Perhaps if we are spirits/souls/consciousnesses inside out bodies, we can drift off into dream world and live a thousand lives then return to our own never knowing the difference.

If you believe firmly that you will wake up transformed into another person, that might be signs of delusion symptoms which does happen to some of us.

Not in a refreshing sense. Like I should be someone else - moved on from my current life. Sorry, it's hard to explain.

It does not sound like a delusion to me. It sounds more like guilt and disappointment in yourself that take on an unusual form.

Do you have a set of goals your working towards ? Legit attainable goals ?

If none specific then of course you will wake up this way daily.

Therapy + goal setting = finding some solid footing and direction.

Make any sense ?
