Hi there
Still a bit new to this site but I have vowed, with this time on my hands to try once and for all to sort myself out.Phoned Psyc and requested that he sees me today. We had our,so called "First session",been on my A-D's for about 4 months now and started to realise that there is something terribly wrong with the way I sometimes react with or when people are around. At one stage I was losing it,thinking that things would never come right.I become obsessive, rejective, overpowering, arguemantative and then there are times when I'm loving caring, understanding, helpful and that calm, that people wonder what is wrong with me.He explained that he thinks I have BP and tried to explain it to me.Now I'm even more confused because I have taken a number of tests on the net and no matter how honest I answer them,I seem to have more than 1 problem.Do I keep digging around or do I try trust this Doc?He's not the first and this has been going on for years,it somehow makes sense but doesn't totally... Any help and advice will be gladly accepted and appreciated... Thank you Stormy |

Tests on the net only go so far. They can alert you to the possibility of a problem, but only a mental health professional truly can make a diagnosis. I'd trust the doctor and see if he can't figure out how to provide you some relief.
Good luck. Candy PS: Most folks have more than one "problem"! |

Hi there, thanks for the information Candy and Jen,my name is Janine(35)but many do and still call me Storm.I have decided to give it a shot and see what happens.I'd like to know from you Jen(hope you don't mind calling you that)and would appreciate it if you will reply soon...
If there are any others out there who were diagnosed, what exactly do we go through with tests, therapy (cognitive?)or any other information that will help me through this,I'm not easy on trusting and afraid that I might not totally open up... St0rmy |
