Hasn't been a weeknight of ip and my depression is strong again. I make myself go out though I really just wanna lie in bed. I sleep too little or too much. I make sure I take my meds exactly how I am supposed to. I long for my stability. I want it. I need it. I will get it back. I lay here and cry and think about harmful things once more. I have no intention.

Sounds like you are doing all the right things. Hold on. When this happens to me I call the on duty Psych at my clinic and let them know what's going on. They usually will call in a prescription for me for something to knock it down. Is this a possibility? Hoping only the best for you! You can get through this. You have lots of support here on Psych Central.

I'm supposed to see my pdoc February 16. Do I call his office tomorrow, only a week after getting out of ip or do I wait for meds to start working?

I would hope he would recognize your sincere need for his help and act accordingly. My psydoc knows when I start falling apart he can put me on different meds that will pull me out just enough until my other meds kick in properly. Hoping for the best for you!

Mayber your meds just take a bit to get going. Call and see if they can give you something to get you through to your next pdoc appointment. Its worth a shot.

Ugh. Sometimes ADs take time to kick in. 6-8 weeks usually. Still, you can call your pdoc and let him know what's going on.

Calling is your best bet. Feb 16 is a long ways off if you're deep in depression.
