I was just reminscing the year I was manic. It actually was quite a wonderful year. I miss it - I even miss the delusions....

What were yours?

For me, I had myself believing I was a world class adventurer.

One of my favorites is thinking that I know the secret to the theme that binds my life meaning together. I have that one a lot. Apparently when I'm manic, I like to think about this.

I went mad on metaphysics and believed I could move things with my mind and affect situations in people's lives. I saw everything as interconnected so believed I could use that to achieve my goals. When I tried to move things with my mind and it didn't work I was not discouraged but thought I had the technique wrong so kept trying.

I thought God was communicating with me and asking me to do things to test my faith (like fasting). I also thought angels were stalking me in the form of people.

that is funny... I thought it was just me. When I am in manic psychosis, every little detail of my life is connected and makes sense together, as if there were a theme binding literally every event in my history. As if my life were an exciting story.
