Sleep won't come.

I'm not tired but I should be by now. I've taking my meds but they no longer make me tired.

Anyone else here dealing with sleep's abandonedment?

Yep, I feel ya. Going on 6 weeks on less that 4 hours. I hope you can find a solution. It makes me feel a bit crazy.

Holy hell! Have you talked to your pdoc to get anything to knock yourself out?

I haven't been that sleep deprived in a long time. Last time I was it got pretty bad.

What have you tried?

I had exactly the same reaction, holy hell! Same for me, last time I was that sleep deprived I ended up in the hospital for longer than I wanted to be. Then again every time I've been in the hospital it's longer than I'd prefer. But I digress. Get thee to your doc, pronto!

Yeah, feeling VERY bad. Went off my meds 2 months ago and got a very bad result, worst mixed episode EVER. I saw my pdoc twice last week. Back on lithium and trying a new antipsychotic (Vraylar) which I took for the first time last night. She gave me a new sleep med, Belsomra, which she judged is less risky for a person that drinks alcohol alot. I am afraid to take it because after I google it I got all weirded out that I would have trouble getting up for work this morning. Since it's Friday night I'm debating trying it out as I don't have to be anywhere in the morning.

Melatonin, benedryl, and trazadone have all been tried, and...nothing.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, So...

You didn't hijack. I'm just glad you're back on meds and trying to get better. And, yeah, it's Friday. I say go for it. I'll be taking mine tonight, too because I have no obligations tomorrow.

I can absolutely relate. Even at baseline, I have problems going to sleep. Ever since Saturday, I've been experiencing hardly any sleep at all. My mind is too active and does not shut down lately. It became especially bad starting Saturday when I had 2 hours of sleep. On other days this week, I've gotten about 3-4 hours each day, although I have to get up early for work. It has taken so long to get to sleep, although Seroquel and Klonopin are especially supposed to help with sleep.

I hope your sleep gets back on schedule soon. I definitely know how much it throws everything off balance.

Doesn't know. I haven't told him much. I see him on a very infrequent non-frequent basis.

I am sorry...I believe in telling our pdocs about what is going on in our lives. we pay them to help us.
I believe you should call them and tell them what is happening.
Maybe there could be a medication alteration/adjustment that could help you.

call your pdoc!

Yeah, I probably should but there's nothing I can do about it for a week, anyway. I'll just set an appointment for next Thursday when I get back into town.
