So I started lamictal and Wellbutrin a few weeks ago. 300mg lamictal and 150 twice a day for Wellbutrin. But now I think the Wellbutrin is messing me up. I've started drinking again and alcohol plus meds make a horrible show. I'm hallucinating a bit, I can't forget what just happened 10 min ago. I can't get the attention span to read a thing. This is not a good feeling and I think I'm going to quit my Wellbutrin.

Have you hallucinated before? Can you figure out which med is doing it?

if you are ADHD wellbutrin is not a good medication for you. I lost my stuff on that med I'm on lamictal now and I don't feel any better I feel worse. Came close to downing a bottle of pills. it could be either to be honest. I don't mean to be a Debbie downer I really don't but I understand completely. I'm going through periods where i'm afraid to sleep because of my dreams I don't know if they are real or not half the time I woke up last night fighting. call the dr. I need to do that as well.

Do you mean you can't remember what just happened 10 min. ago? Lamictal was awful on my husband's memory. Serious memory issues.

Everyone is different when it comes to Wellbutrin. Some doctors I know don't like to use it when someone has a history of mania, although I see there are some people here who have BP and do very well on Wellbutrin.

Personally, Wellbutrin made me very speedy and manic. I even started having delusions. Definitely talk to your pdoc soon about this. It may very well be the Wellbutrin, or maybe he or she has another idea as to what can be causing this problem.

I hope you feel better soon. What an awful feeling.

I've had blackouts with hallucinating awhile back. Another thing, when I first started the Wellbutrin I started sleep walking bad. I'd call my bf at work, knowing his work hours, and asked him where he was. He's at his last straw and according to him, I've been acting like this once the Wellbutrin started. I'm embarrassed about it. And yea I'm starting to agree this is bad for BP. The only thinks keeping me from getting manic is my geodon. I've been on Wellbutrin last year without the right AP or stabilizer and got very dysphoric.

I only started it again because I was having a family crises that I couldn't handle. Well that situation is long gone so yea I think it's time to drop this med.

That sounds like an awful experience. Definitely get in contact with your pdoc asap. It could be the med and you will need to stop it, but either way you need some professional advice right now before this escalates really badly.

Yea! And I can't even remember what conversion I was having at the time. My bf has had to help me finish basic words because for the life of me I couldn't remember

Seriously, lamictal was the devil on my husband's memory and cognitive function on any dose above 100mg. We finally took him completely off of it because it was really, really bad. We saw an almost immediate improvement of his short-term memory.

I was on Lamictal for a while. Messed up my writing but I felt better.

Wellbutrin gave me more anxiety but it helped my depression.
