I am with ya there...I wish that they could come up with a reason why people are bp...or some gene that causes it. I would love to have a cure all for this hellish affliction.

it is scopolamine. and it is worn behind the ear in the studies. it's a serious study and i hope that the research moves forward. you can't get a patch without a prescription and this is in the study stage now. so, i wouldn't ask a doctor for it for bp.

Sounds nice. I wish they had something like that for schizophrenia. I know they have those herbs and vitamins that are supposed to help but the main treatments are just strong anti-psychotics. Bipolar and schizophrenia are both hell and I too wish they find cures for both, but more so with schizophrenia being that I suffer from that. They know more about Bipolar than schiz. The other plus is that there's more creativity in mood disorders than in psychotic disorders. BP has some good sides, but honestly, if I could, I'd wipe schizophrenia of the face of the Earth. Tough life with that. But listen to me rambling on and on. I digress.

Maybe they are like stop smoking patches and let us quit bipolar?
Sorry, I know this is serious and I hope that it develops into something that will help us all. BB

It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words: "And this, too, shall pass away." How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction! ---"Address before the Wisconsin State Agricultural Society". Abraham Lincoln Online. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. September 30, 1859. |
