Is there any 'normal' time period between cycles?? I am confused because I have been on several meds over the last year and I thought they were suppose to make me stop the ups and downs. I am on xanax, ativan, celexa, seroquel and lithium currently. I have been up and down many times over the last few weeks and very angry and irritable. I do not have another pdoc appnt until mid Oct. Any suggestions?? I took the mania and depression quizzes and scored pretty high on both. Could this be a mixed episode?? Like I said I am confused. Please help!!!

Have you been on all those meds for awhile? If so, did they work for awhile? Sounds like it may be mixed episodes. Mid October is a long time to wait for the pdoc appointment when you're feeling that way. I think maybe you should try to call the pdoc and discuss what you're experiencing. Hang in. Etheria

I have been on the lithium for about 10 months, the others have been added more recently, but I was on several other ones that didn't work. My 'combo' seemed to be working ok until a few weeks ago. All this is such a pain in the butt somedays I just wanna flush the meds and say heck with it!!

I think everyone is different...I pretty sure I rapid cycle...somedays multiple times...and I know that I experience mixed...

Though I'm now starting to unravel the difference between BP and BPD...some symptoms for me overlap...knowing which is which helps me figure out what direction I should go in...
