Hi

Is anyone out there affected by this blizzard of doom? Whiteout conditions here. Is everyone else fairing well? Did anyone else get the day off?

I did not get the day off, but then then my internet pooped out. I'm on my phone typing this, hoping that I will continue to get cell phone reception. So... no more work! Yay!

Do you even get snow where you live? I think this blizzard sh#t was sweeping across the U.S., so maybe you already got hit with it.

It changed to sleet quicker than they thought it would here in central nj. So only about three or four inches of snow. But a layer of ice pellets on top of that. I had off today but not sure about tomorrow. I doubt it since the snow wasn't that bad. But it's definitely going to be icy in the AM so I'm not looking forward to driving!

My friends in the northeast are having a very hard time, and my best friend has had to shovel three times today. The weather is pretty depressing I hear, and most workplaces are closed today and possibly tomorrow.

I moved to the southwest last year, so I'm feeling grateful. We don't get snow where I am, but it does snow farther up north. However, it'll be disgustingly hot, humid, and full of bugs in a few months. I'll probably be complaining then. :P

Stay warm, folks! And hopefully you all have some nice hot chocolate and a fire to enjoy (if that's your thing).

Not much here. Snowed all day yesterday but didn't add up. Icey though. I'm glad I'm not in the north east.

We got about 5 inches, although it was originally reported that we were supposed to have 6-12 inches of snow. The agency where I work has this dumb "Do Not Close" policy, even though we have State of Emergency warnings at times. Nobody comes into work--it's basically a tactic from them that we have to use a paid vacation day for when it's too dangerous on the roads.

At least I had the day off...I needed the rest. Tomorrow will be my first day of the week going in. I hope the roads are okay and not icy tomorrow, or I will go in late. I also hope that the rest of this week goes okay.

Got my car unburied at least, so i should be able to get out of my driveway if i do have to work tomorrow.

I'm directly west of you, Blue. Started snowmageddon early this morning. Yesterday the ground was bare. Right now there's about 20" on the ground. We're supposed to get another 6-8" before it's over.

I've already shoveled two times, and it's going to take another two times before I'll be able to make it out tomorrow.

My mom got stuck at DTW for 7 hours due to all the delays.

Nope, I'd have to drive about 100+ miles to see any snow, and spring is definitely happening here.

Stay safe! The storm sounds scary, and I just heard it will hit even harder tonight/tomorrow.

My son's district is closed again tomorrow. I only have a delay, but I'm going to have to take off to stay home with him. I'm hoping like hell my district will end up closing tomorrow but probably not. I'm just going to have to use a sick day and hope my principal isn't too mad at me.

NC. We usually get ice. But any mention of snow/ice and people lose their minds. Grocery stores are wiped out of milk and bread (milk sandwiches? lol) and the liquor store get hit pretty hard. Snowpocalypse

Hope you all are okay up North. Got about an inch here but it was sporadic and didn't stay long. Now it's just cold and windy.
