When my paranoia is very active, I get the sense that most of my coworkers don't like working with me, and that someone is spreading rumors about me. I have no evidence for that, but that's how it feels. It's an oppressive feeling and is very demotivating. I can't get much work done when my brain is analyzing my actions and the actions of coworkers for proof that they hate me or think I'm incompetent.
How do you make it through the work day when your brain is attacking you like this? It so exhausting. I tell myself I'm overreacting, that people aren't paying that much attention to me. But that doesn't put an end to the rumination and paranoia. |

do you have a therapist? Sorry you are having these ruminating thoughts. Are you taking meds? maybe you need a tweek in them if you do? bizi

I do have a therapist. Talking to her helps to some degree. She has taught me a few things to help me at work.
I just increased Latuda from 60 to 80 mg. Hadn't been taking it with food, so I'm going to start doing that. Hopefully it will help. |

I try to break the day down into two hour increments. I feel that I know I can always make it through two hours.
Work two hours, then get a glass of water. Stop and drink it. Work two more hours, then it might be your meal break Work two more hours then make yourself a cup of ginger. Stop and drink it Work two more hours then it is an 8 hour shift over. The two hour break-downs give you something to look forward to It works for me

Also avoid caffeine, the increased heart rate can rev up the paranoia

I get this way as well. Do you have the option of changing up your work hours? I come in 2 hours before everyone else, which really helps to cut down on coworker interaction. I also listen to music. But mostly I trudge through it and try to focus on positive thoughts.

I can't change my work hours unfortunately. It's hard to listen to music because I have to concentrate really hard. Maybe classical music would work or some new agey music.

I concentrate best listening to punk rock music.

I find that the music with nature sounds in the background works well. It helps calm my head, and seems to quieten the "people" noise
