I've noticed over time that Seroquel XR has made me emotionally flat. I used to have a personality, but that personality is long gone.

This interesting revelation came when my therapist pointed out to me last Tuesday: "These past few appointments, you've been removed. You are not the same person as you were when you were on Abilify."

She is right. I had a bubbly/cheerful personality before I was put on Seroquel.

Why not go back on Abilify?, you may ask. Well, the problem with Abilify is that it didn't do much for me. I maxed out my dose and still was having hypomanic and depressive episodes, so that's a bummer. Then Latuda made me too drowsy.

Those were the two I was going to mention: Latuda or Abilify.
Sorry, blue. I hope you find a viable solution soon.

I know Zyprexa can cause weight gain but it has been a miracle drug for me. Keeps me calm the following day and I get a good night's rest. As long as I eat responsibly and stay active during the day I have had minimal side effects if any at all. As a matter of fact I have a pdoc appointment on Thursday and I am going to ask to go up to 15mg's.

Rexulti doesn't cause flat emotions, nor does it cause weight gain. Its been a winner drug for me. Definitely better than zyprexa. Its like Abilify but better. (They are chemically similar, but not 100%.)

I'm also doing well with zyprexa. I feel like I have a full range of emotions.

It seems that I'm allergic to all AP's (very bad side effects).

Everyones different and meds effect everyone differently. It's all trial and error.

Respiradal: slept but least side effects
Latuda: hypomanic and anxiety
Geodon: headaches
Abilify: brain zaps, visual sparks, auditory crackle, headache
Seroquel: sleep for days, intense throbbing headache, stiff neck
Nothing: is what I take

Good luck!

Geodon. Zyprexa also had no side effects for me. It didn't work but that's not common. Loxapine is also a good one; no side effects, no flatness. I had rare side effects and had to stop it but it was good while it lasted.
