My husband has a therapist. He doesn't feel comfortable with his therapist seeing me and I completely understand that. I've seen therapists who claim bipolar as one of their specialties, however, when confronted with a crisis they were completely unqualified to deal with the issues of psychosis.
I live in the west valley of Phoenix. I'd prefer not to travel to the east side but at this point I'm desperate. Any help would be appreciated. |

If you are looking for a therapist or psychiatrist, go to psychology today. You can enter your zip code, insurance, and needed services and it will pop out some names. Good luck.

In 2017 my therapist referred me to Dr Barbara Baumgardner. She is not restricted to the 15 minute interval MD psychiatrists are because she is a PhD nurse practitioner specializing in medications. She does not take ins, and she is AMAZING. I am doing a complete medication change w her and I wouldn't trust anyone else to handle this. She is in the Phoenix West Valley, Goodyear.
