So I was on citalopram 40 mgs but I was still really depressed. Switched to viibryd and its not working out. I'm slowly weaning off the citalopram and going up slowly on the viibryd. But I'm having trouble sleeping, nausea, diarrhea, on the viibryd. I'm only on 10 mgs. Supposed to go up to 40. I just want to go back to citalopram.

Called psych nurse, she's not in today. This just sucks. Viibryd just has too many side effects for me. She said a lot of ppl at 40 mgs have a ton of side effects. Mainly anxiety and insomnia. I don't need that.

Wish we'd finally get some consistent nice weather here. That would help. Depression sucks!

did they tell you that you need to eat protein when you take vybriid so it absorbs? otherwise you just poop it out in the diarrhea. it makes the diarrhea stop

No, not protein specifically. But to eat 350 calories with it in the morning. Thanks for letting me know that.

If you keep having those side effects, I believe I'd ask for something else or at least add something that will counterbalance the side effects. Good luck getting it straightened out. I totally agree depression sucks.

I'm sorry the Viibryd isn't working out. Insomnia and anxiety? Why would anyone want that?

I keep Celexa in the mix at just 10mg. It helps with agitation and with pain.

I use four meds for depression: Celexa, Wellbutrin, Latuda, Adderall. (This depression has lasted so long and my psych meds mix with other meds, I have stopped a mood stabilizer for now. BP II) I am still dragging with those 4 meds for depression. (Some of my other meds can slow me down.)

Yes, depression sucks!
I hope you find relief soon.

I was reading through some older pages here this morning and was wondering about you. You'd then posted. Sorry your news isn't better, for your sake. Good to hear from you though.

Oh thanks so much. Yeah been struggling with this depression since about mid January. It's horrible. My psych nurse won't do med changes over the phone so it's tough. It's really hard for me to get in as well. Transportation problems. I'm just hoping she'll let me go back on celexa.

Sorry you're struggling so much. depression is awful!
