I'm feeling both right now. O feel like I have all these expectations on me from doc and family and I don't think it's fair, I don't feel like they take my illness seriously at all. I'm supposed to act like everything is ok when it's not....im tired of it

I hear you, loud and clear. Generally speaking, people hold expectations until we say "no more." I think you should be very candid about your feelings and look at viable alternatives. Can you go out on short-term disability?

Thinking of you.

It feels as if we always have to be fake to the real world. I don't feel anyone would understand what goes on in my head. I hope the pressure doesn't overcome you. Take care of yourself.

I hate your suffering. I know the feeling of "trying" to look like your pulled together. When actually your symptomatic. Hold on and keep your head up

I feel your pain; the docs and social workers don't take my illness seriously. The social worker's even suggested to my wife that I've mad up the illness and 'groomed' the psychiatrists into getting a diagnosis. Thankfully the psychiatrists seem to take things seriously, but they're seriously stretched and don't have enough time to see people.
I hope your situation improves.

I have learned the hell with expectations. I am who I am when I am. This has helped me find the right meds and my wife now has an understanding that I am not going to be perfect everyday.

My problems are not so much my doctors or others but certain family members. It is beyond stressful and depressing to have to hold yourself together and put on a certain face when you really aren't well and to be treated with impatience when you can't hide it.

Thanks for this!
