Pre-diagnosis I had a period of time when I was on adderall and it made me manic - more manic then I had ever been before. It started of so great, it started off high-functioning. Eventually it didn't end well. And then I crashed into the most severe depressive episode I've ever had and no matter how high my dose was increased, it didn't make me go up again.

But somehow I miss it. It's on my mind from time to time. If only I could have a dose...even a low dose...it starts of SO great...everything is better..

you know?

And whenever I experience mild depressions I am always itching to ask my psychiatrist to put me on it again... to give me that special boost, but I never do.

I take seroquel and lamotrigine now btw, have been for 2 years

It must be great to be stabile for 2 years!

Yes, Adderall can create moodswings in some people living with bipolar illness.
As you've mentioned, it can start out fun and end horribly.

So glad your meds work for you.

Yeah, I had a short stint on Adderal. It made me manic, too. Rather than sticking with it until depression hit, I told my pdoc and she sent me IP until I was back to normal.
