Pdoc put me on propanolol Friday for anxiety/high blood pressure. It makes me feel so cold. Like being in a fridge. My tongue was numb/tingly for a couple days. My stomach and chest have been bothering me off and on. Today I've been lightheaded. And super anxious. I really think I want to quit taking it. Do you think I should be ok to stop taking it without calling pdoc? Anxiety is so bad I don't think I can.

Why not call the pdoc?
An informed pdoc is better able to help out. If you have to come off of it, perhaps the pdoc will prescribe something else for your anxiety? ![]() WC |

The literature I found online spoke of the extended release form, but it said very clearly that it should not be stopped suddenly, rather under the supervision of your doc. Given all that, I'd call the doc's office, describe your experience, and tell them you'd like to quit it, and ask for guidance.

Call your pdoc. Those don't sound like symptoms of your body adjusting to it.
