Sorry to make another thread, but i figure this may be helpful to others as well.
What is the difference between long term and short term care? Has anyone been in long term? If so, what was it like? Thanks |

Hi. Glad you posted. Idk but I believe there is someone on the depression thread that is in long term care right now if you want to post there as well. Good luck.

I was in long term care as an adolescent but never as an adult. For a hot minute there they were looking into supportive housing for me but I ended up moving in with my grandparents instead. All I can say about long term care as an adolescent is the state hospital was ****ing horrible. I imagine the adult ones are worse, at least in my state. But private programs like supportive housing and residentials are supposed to be nice.
