My husband fell and broke four ribs and has the beginning of pneumonia. I am exhausted from being up with him, getting him to the hospital and doctor's. Getting prescriptions...making sure he takes them, getting groceries, and keeping the house running. Not to mention helping him get a shower and get him up and down the stairs.
He has several good guy friends and some relatives that are insistent about coming over. My husband is not sleeping well and is pretty tired. Plus, he can't really laugh without pain and these guys think they are hilarious. I've told them to wait till Monday and I know some of them are pissed at me. I don't have the energy to keep the house perfect and be dressed for company. I am doing enough now to keep my head above water. I HATE pushy people! I just want to collapse on the couch between nursing and rest. Excuse me if I sound like a b****. __________________ Lamictal Rexulti Wellbutrin Xanax XR .5 Xanax .25 as needed |

You don't sound like a ***** at all. You sound like an exhausted woman who needs rest and a bit of a break. I'm sorry these guys are being pushy and I do hope that when they do come over you can have enough of a break to relax for a bit and not feel the pressure of having to entertain.

You don't sound like a b****. You sound like a loving wife who has been taking good care of her husband and who needs a well deserved break. Please try to ignore those insensitive clods. You're doing just fine.

Doesn't sound like it to me. When my husband had surgery, I was trying to keep everything going. It's a lot of work! Your husband needs rest and so do you.

It just sounds like you are tired and are being assertive about the needs of the household. Who can argue with that?
