need I say more.

they are the worst... feels like you're in a sauna no matter what.

oh well, the plus side.. I guess the storm will be coming soon to clear the air

but for now... urg it's so hot

I agree! It's still nice here in NJ but they're calling for record highs in the summer. We do not have central air and indeed only have one window that can hold an AC. And it's only a 5000btu one, so when it's 90+ Out it only gets the house down to 78 degrees. And doesn't really get into my room. So yeah, on those hot days I end up sleeping with an ice pack on the back of my neck and my fan blowing directly on me.

Put a high power circulating fan near where the ac blows out. Might help cool your room.

This was the first year we ran our portable AC in the bedroom for all four seasons. We've got it cranked and the fan running and we're still overheating.
