and after months and months of interviewing, denials and feeling lead on...I finally got a new job.

Sometimes you just need to buckle down and do it. You can be told no thousands of times, but you just need to be told yes once.

I ultimately did not get the job that I applied for from the beginning. Not even the job I was recommended for after not getting the first position. No, it was a third position that came out of nowhere. I did not have to interview, thankfully, and received the job offer this past Monday the 12th.

So I'm still with the same company. I will be working out of another facility in the area which could, at times, have a shorter commute than I am used to now. I was able to choose my own hours and I selected 7:00 to 4:00 Monday-Friday. My hope is to beat the morning and evening rush hour traffic and get home right around 5:00 each night. I saw a slight bump up in pay. So far I've been told the group I'm moving to is great to be around and my new supervisor is wonderful to work for. I am honestly looking forward to it.

This is just an update thread and not an indicator that I will be a regular contributor again to the forum as my job duties will be changing drastically and my need for and ability to use the internet while on the job may be limited.
