Just wondering... does anyone else get weird dreams when manic, depressed, mixed, or stable?
When I'm manic, I get depressive, angry dreams. Suicidal and homicidal. So... basically I feel mixed? And sometimes when I'm in a normal mood state, I get depressing, suicidal dreams. Don't know why. I had a homicidal dream last night because I'm 99% sure I'm manic. (Got 3 hrs of sleep with no tiredness whatsoever!) I did regretful things, to say the least. (Very murderous.) |

I'm not sure if my dream changes are a result of stability or medication (AP); what I do know is that when I was either manic or depressed, my dreams were always set in a desolate, crushing reality, filled with fear and exhaustion (or rage honestly...). Now my dreams are like, "I'm going for a burger, should I get cheese, or no cheese; or maybe even BACON!".

Interesting.
![]() ![]() Mosst of my dreams are influenced by what happens right before I go to bed, so they're not all bad. For example, 2 nights ago, I didn't go pee before bed. Had a dream where I went to the bathroom and peed (like, I actually felt myself go pee), but THANK GOD I did not pee in my bed. (I've actually never wet my bed, even as a kid.) sorry for TMI. lol. |

I had a dream last night that I cheated on my husband with a pimp who was trying to get me a raiders jacket because mine that I ordered had a slit in it where someone obviously got stabbed. This "pimp" was helping me return this jacket because my husband was like no.. That slit is for your headphones. This guy was passing around the fedora and telling everyone in his clubhouse to donate to the cause and he kept saying "I'm going to pay with my bawlz.." over and over again until he got enough money to buy me a new one. This was like a motorcycle club. Very bizarre dream. Not sure what triggered a dream like this.

I think it's likely mood states may influence dreams.
I've been experiencing a lot of anxiety and depression. I'd had a very anxiety-filled nightmare a few nights ago. It was very "real" and traumatizing. I'd still felt very anxious and very traumatized throughout the following day. It felt very strange for a nightmare to have that much of an impact. In addition to mood changes, I find Latuda causes very vivid dreams for me. ![]() WC |

Twice recently I've dreamed of having sex with my ex husband! My RE-MARRIED ex-husband. The one I don't have the hots for. So weird. I'll never tell him (or his wife) about those dreams! And I think I'm fairly stable right now. I THINK...

Funnily enough, I have better dreams when I'm depressed. I feel happy and then, when I wake up...blah.
I'm sure I'm having dreams now, but I don't remember them. I used to have dreams of being back in the military and working, and feeling happy about it. |

I tend to have violent dreams when I'm feeling low or mixed. Mostly it's acting out what I wish I could do in real life. I don't murder people but I do beat the crap out of them. And scream my head off. Curse a lot too. I just had one the other night where I cursed out my boss and then some guy tried to grope me so I kicked the **** out of him and then told his fiancé. Sometimes I wonder if my dreams are influenced by the podcast I listen to at night.

Last night I had a dream that my bf was cheating on me and the night before I had a dream that my front teeth crumbled in my hand. Both dreams felt so real and I didn't forget them after waking up. I looked up the meaning of both (because I'm weirdly interested in things like this) and they both apply to real life feelings I have but never really think about. I just started lamictal and seroquel but don't know if it's because of the meds.

I have the teeth crumbling/falling out dream a LOT. At least a couple times a month.

I can't remember my dreams anymore, which is sad. I used to have cool dreams.
