First of all I'd like to thank everyone for replying to my previous threads. As you may or not know, I've been experiencing hallucinations and paranoia non stop lately.

It was suggested that I get an earlier pdoc appointment or go to the ER.

I can't get an appointment because of my moms work schedule, but I may be able to get to the ER late one night.

My question is, would they admit me or just give me the seroquel?

I would think you'd be admitted to see a pdoc.

I think you'd be admitted too. Stay safe and take gentle care of you.

Best wishes.

It's hard to say... are you having any thoughts of harming yourself/others? If yes, then you're gonna be admitted.

Even if you are admitted that could be a really good thing. Instead of going through months on a med only to find it doesn't work in IP they can increase your dose fast and so they'd be able to see if it was helping and try something else if needed instead of putting you through several more months of trial and error. I also think sometimes IP doctors sometimes can be more effective at looking at what you've been on and predicting what might work based on that since they see people failing on meds all day long every day. I know once my pdoc contacted my IP pdoc and asked about a treatment (we were considering ECT) and he was able to say that just based on how my symptoms presented he didn't think ECT would help me and recommended trying clozaril first. Clozaril is the drug that helped me finally and I've been on nearly everything at some point.

Yes to what Franz said .

Personally you have had nothing but months of feeling terrible , why not go IP and get straightened out ?

IP is not horrible when it's needed.

You are suffering.
Your current pdoc is not available to help you.
Maybe going IP will help you to get finally stabilized?

There's a lot to be said for the above advantage. I didn't have it, and even though the combo I have is effective, it took a few months to put together safely as an outpatient/office visit client. If I'd revealed a bit more and been admitted, that would have been just a few days.

Wasting those 2-3 months really wasn't a wise decision in retrospec.
