How many of you have also have a personality disorder? Which one? How does it affect your treatment?

My pdoc says I have "traits" of schizoid personality disorder. That may be true. After reading about avoidant personality disorder, I am pretty certain I really have that.
Thanks for this!

During one of my hospitalizations I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. I had an ex that was obsessed with pds and tried convincing me I had AsPD too. I'm pretty sure I don't have any personality disorder though.
Thanks for this!

I just read about avoidant personality disorder as never heard of it and Im pretty head on with everything the last four years, but wasnt really when younger. I did have massive anxiety back than but developed into something else when the bipolar struck.

I'm a pretty passive aggressive person but I've not focused on that in Therapy so I dont know that its too big a problem. I usually only have trouble with it when I'm around a large number of people frequently such as being in school or working.

I have both borderline personality disorder and bipolar. I have to be pretty explicit on what is causing what. I have to know whether something triggered a bad mood or whether it comes on its own.

It would be worth printing out a list of symptoms and going through it with your pdoc and your therapist.
